And that's all I have for today. It was a crazy day. I worked a little but most of the day was spent running around with the kids trying to get last-minute stuff done for school. I have officially bought the last of the school supplies (good thing since tomorrow is meet the teacher night and we have to take them with us). And on the way home, I decided to stop and let the kids pick out a few outfits for school. Nick found nothing he liked. No surprise there. Mackenzie surprised me and found a couple of shirts. Austin picked out every single shirt he could find with skulls and guitars on them. And Lauren wanted to buy the whole store. She got a few things but her closet is already so packed. Since she is the smallest girl on the block, everyone feels the need to give her their hand-me-downs. Works for me!
I asked Austin to choose the music for today. And he wanted me to play his favorite singer: Gwen Stefani. He loves her! This is Hollaback Girl.

Check out Austin's specs!
There is no doubt that all of our kids will end up with glasses. Marty and I are both blind. (Well, I corrected my eyesight with surgery a few years ago.) Nick got glasses last August (see this post). And today was the day Austin got his. School starts next week and we wanted to make sure Austin could see the board. I think he looks great! (The new haircut helps, too!) And Austin is so excited about his glasses. He thinks they are cool. Check him out! Last week after he picked them out, he was singing some song when we got in the car. I heard him singing, "I'm so happy, I'm so happyyyyy!" And I asked him why he was so happy and he said, "Because I'm getting GLASSES!!!"
