Our fifth day in California was really busy. We were done at Disneyland and we had to change hotels to be closer to Legoland. So ... we woke up in the morning and played out by the pool area for a while.
Then we went inside to the arcade.
Then it was time to check out and drive to our new hotel in Oceanside. On the way, we met Marty's Aunt Anne and her husband Bob at a really cool restaurant by a marina. Anne is Marty's Dad's sister. He hasn't seen her in years and I had never met her and it was a really good visit. We spent lunch talking about her family and their 3-month cruise around the world. Bob is a really neat man, too. I am so glad we had a chance to see them.
As soon as we got to our new hotel, the kids wanted to go swimming so we headed down to the pool. Marty and I were tired so we just watched.
And then Marty found us a really cool pier to drive to. The kids loved watching the surfers. Oceanside wasn't nearly as pretty as Newport Beach. But still pretty cool. The pier was huge!
And the sun finally set on a very busy day. Legoland coming up next! Here's some music for ya! Red Hot Chili Peppers: Californication
