Holy skinny Robyn, Batman!

This morning the scale really surprised me ... 127! That's like high school weight. I don't know where it's all going but whatever, I'm not one to complain. Those of you who know me in real life know that I eat everything in sight. I guess I should just be thankful for good metabolism. Marty and I have weighed every week for years and I haven't seen this side of the 120's for a very loooong time. Too bad it's not still swim suit season! So I asked Marty if I looked any skinnier and he said, "Yeah, in your boobs!" I said thanks a lot but then he tried to say he was kidding. Hopefully he was because I don't have much to lose there.
We went to the park this weekend with the kids. Nick was having a bit of a hard time and didn't feel like playing so I let him take some pictures with my camera. Here you have a very exciting picture of Nick's mom (that would be me). *Please note that Nick has had two really good days in a row so hopefully things are looking up. Thanks to several of you who had expressed concern.

Take a close look at this picture because you won't see that smile for very much longer. I'm getting braces next week! EEEK!!! I've been thinking about it for a while. Hopefully I won't look like too much of a dork. I had them years ago (see picture at left - that's me in about 1983). But over the years, one of my bottom teeth got crooked and it bothers me. And my orthodontist wants to give me a bigger, broader smile, too. So I guess I'll put up with a year of braces for that. At least they aren't metal anymore. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? They put some spacers in my teeth today to make room for the bands in back and it really hurts! Guess I won't be eating a lot of turkey on Thursday.
Speaking of Thursday, we aren't doing much but hanging out at my house. My mom and stepdad are coming over and I'm cooking a turkey. That's about it. But I'm glad we don't have to go anywhere. We're saving the Arkansas trip for Christmas so that we can take the girls at our other gym in Little Rock out for a Christmas dinner while we are there. So we'll see pretty much the whole state since Marty's family is on the West side of the state and Little Rock is in the middle.
Well, as you can tell, I have absolutely nothing to talk about today. Here's some Rascal Flatts: Take Me There

Wow, braces...and not metal? hmmm..very cool, what do they use now, then?

So glad to hear Nick is on the mend. I'm sure all this family time and love together has had a big effect on him, for the good!

  4. I'm the same with my upper body part :) After nursing two kids (and I still nurse Katrin) I don't have any problems to sleep on my tummy at all :))
I'm thinking about the braces for a while too so I'll wait how you will look like and then try it as well :)
Hope you had a great time on the Thanksgiving! And I am soo happy to hear Nick is doing better!
