Hi Mom!

I got an email last night from my mom and she mentioned something about my blog and I am pretty excited because now I know that she actually reads it! Since I am not a famous sports figure and will probably never get to say it on television ... I'll say it here ... "HI MOM!" Now you're famous because let me tell you ... this blog is big time! LOL! I'll even put a picture of us together. This was taken last year on Mother's Day when we ate at Don Pablo's. Looking at this picture, I realize a few things.

• I liked my hair that short. I think I may get it cut soon. I'm tired of wearing a ponytail every day!
• I need to see my mom on more days other than just holidays and when she babysits my kids. After all, we only live 20 minutes from each other.
• I need to take more pictures of the two of us together. I had to really search to find a picture to post with this!

Not much going on in happyland lately. We're just trying to sqeeeze in the last bit of summer fun before school starts on August 14th. We took the kids to Six Flags yesterday. Man, was it HOT! And we're not very smart because we always save the water rides until the end and then we have to drive home in wet clothes. Of course, we never carry towels in the car. The kids were so wet that we made them ride home in their underwear. LOL! We didn't get home until about 10:30pm. Lauren is so tired that she is still asleep and it's almost 11:00am. I'm going to have to wake her up soon because we are going swimming with some friends as soon as Nick and Austin's camp lets out at noon.

I don't think the kids are excited about school starting but I sure am. I like having them home but between running them around to various activities and having to work, I feel like I'm going a little crazy. Ask my mom! She has seen me in action this summer. Sometimes it's not a pretty site. Is it August 14th yet?! And before I close I must say thank you to my mom for helping out with the kids this summer. Mondays would have been impossible without you. See you Saturday! Big anniversary date with Marty. I wonder where we are going!
