And then things got UGLY!

So my last post, I was saying how beautiful Austin is. Well ... this is true. But I left you on 6th Street ... right before things got UGLY! Marty spotted the Coyote Ugly sign and that seemed like as good a place as any to have a drink. Besides, there was a movie about it and everything. Sounded like fun!

So first we went in and had a look around. We were the only people there so we thought it would be kind of boring.

So Bonnie, Marty and I sat down to have our drink and go.

But before we knew it, we met Bob and I had a high quality tattoo on my arm. And then there was Reanna - one of the Coyote girls. There was a 70's song on so she was wearing a wig here.

And then the girls actually danced on the bar. (That's Patricia and Reanna.) It was pretty cool. And they were very persistent that I danced, too ... and you all know that I just HATE to dance. But they twisted my arm.

Then I had to take some pictures of the signs. They were cracking me up! (Be sure to read the bumper sticker on the cash register.)
The bartenders were VERY persistent in trying to make everyone in the bar do shots. So we finally gave in but we just poured some of our Smirnoff Ice into a shot glass.
They made us all wear name tags but mine fell off. Here's me and Marty.

And then we met the REAL John McCain! When I first saw him, I thought he had on football makeup under his eyes so I went over to ask him what that was all about and discovered it was a tattoo. Anyway, we didn't believe his name was really John McCain but he showed us his license and it was his birthday, too. (Not quite sure who is flipping us off in that third picture.) And the last picture I was just trying to get a good picture of his tattoo. OUCH!

And then the hat swappin' began! How many hats can I wear in a short period of time? Even Marty got in on the action of the hats. I swear he's saying YEEEE-haw in this picture!

And that's it for our ugly time in Austin. Marty and I had a great trip and it was so nice to see my friend Bonnie.

Music is LeeAnn Rimes: Can't Fight The Moonlight from the Coyote Ugly soundtrack.
