Young Love and Other Stuff

Don't faint! I scrapped a page. So many of you have written and asked if I had given up scrapping for good. I guess I was just on hiatus. It may take me a while to really get back in the swing of things.
Anyway, in my last post, I eluded to the fact that Austin (my middle son) had a new 'friend.' Well ... it has been confirmed. He has a girlfriend! I asked him about it the other day and he told me the truth. I'm cool with that. And she is a really sweet girl. They are in the same grade but since Austin is just about the youngest kid in his class because he has a September birthday, she is about 9 months older than him. And as you can see, she is just a little taller than him. For that matter, she may be taller than me. But what can you do? Love is blind, right?
I made this page with the March Scrap Artist collaboration kit with Michelle Coleman called In Bloom. (Sorry ... if you don't have the kit already, it isn't available anymore.) Font is CK Mou Saha.
In other news, I am debating whether or not to join the Digital Art Quirks monthly ATC swap again. (I hear Becky in the background screaming NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!). I haven't been in the swap since September and that's because I still owe cards for July, August and September! Oops. They are actually finished, addressed, stamped and everything. Just never got around to signing them and putting them in the mail. I really need to get it together. Here is the ATC I made for July. Becky teased me when I signed up for this swap and said she looked forward to receiving her card in November or something. She had no idea it would be April! So I win the sarcasm contest this time!

Now don't go thinking I drink all of the time. This was just a silly ATC. The theme was 'Life's Journeys.' On the back of the card, I smashed a Smirnoff cap and hammered a hole in it and fastened it on. Very fun card to make.
What else is new and exciting around here? Had a tornado scare yesterday. The schools were locked down until 4:30 and kids had to duck and cover. Like a very smart person, I was driving around in the hail trying to get to the school. But all worked out fine.
Other exciting things ... Mackenzie lost a tooth. That boy is going to be rich as much as the tooth fairy comes. Nick is doing incredibly well. No panic attacks lately. Tonight I am taking him to the batting cage for baseball practice. He's turning into a pretty good ball player. I am proud of him. You already know that Austin is busy with his girlfriend. And Lauren is her normal social butterfly self. I'm scared to think how little I will see her in a few years. She's already going somewhere all of the time. Marty and I have been busy working out and watching kids. More soon.
But first you need some music. I almost forgot ... and what a tragedy that would have been. I heard this song on my iPod today and forgot how much I like Blues Traveler. This is Hook.

  2. Hey Robyn :)
I'm really happy to see you scrap again. I saw your layout yesterday over at SA.
When kids will be sleeping I will come again and read what's new with the Englands :)
For now I have to run!
    Hugs!
