It's been an eventful couple of weeks in the England household. But I must start out by showing you the picture I took just a few minutes ago. I sat down to get some pictures together for this post and Lauren walks in the office looking like this:
And then she says, "I'm Cornholio. I need T.P. for my bunghole." How can you not laugh at that? I realize that a 7-year-old cutie shouldn't be saying words like 'bunghole' but it's just too funny not to laugh. Perhaps she shouldn't be allowed to watch Beavis and Butthead yet. That could be a parenting issue. But tell me she doesn't look exactly like Beavis. It's almost scary! She may have a future in animated character impersonations. (Note: I did have the "Bunghole is not an appropriate word" conversation with her once I stopped laughing.) And for those of you who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, here is the video of the scene she was re-enacting.
Besides that little tidbit, we have been busy with such big holidays as Easter and St. Patrick's Day. What? ... St. Patrick's Day is not a major holiday? Guess that depends who you ask. Anyway, I'll start with some St. Pat's pictures. March 17th was not only St. Patty's Day but also our friend JT's birthday. He wanted to go have crawfish so that was the plan. However, the first place we went was out of crawfish! And it is supposed to be a Cajun restaurant. It was a big scene, we had our drink and left. Place #2 had crawfish. Life was good again. Here are some silly pictures in front of the restaurant. I look like an Amazon woman next to my little friend Anna.
Next stop ... J. Gilligan's. They have a block party every year on St. Patrick's Day - complete with green beer. We had not been there in years (well, that's not exactly true since I was there a few months ago but before that it had been years!). More fun times ensued throughout the evening. But I had too many and spent a lot of the night waiting in line for the restroom but what can you do? Fun times anyway.
We all survived but it should be a law that St. Patrick's Day cannot fall on a Monday. Tuesday morning classes came way too early.
On to more interesting things ... like a Peep Show! Oh, sorry. Not what I meant to say. It's actually a Peeps Show. One of my friends (yeah, you, Teresa!) sent me this picture and I couldn't stop laughing. It was a great way to start the holiday. How many of you out there like Peeps? What's not to like? ... Marshmallow goodness and sugar!
Anyway, on Easter, after we went to church, I took the kids to my mom's house and they hunted for eggs and then we had ham and just sat around and talked. Austin's friend Kaylie came with us so there were lots of kids. Here are a few pictures of the day.
Guess that's it for today's installment of ramblings. One of these days, I'll have this in more of a chronological order. But that's a little challenging for me. I know that some of you are chronological scrappers. How the heck do you do that? I just pick pictures I like and go for it. Guess that's why I don't have scrapbooks that make sense. I really admire all of you organized people. Perhaps I should start a 'help happyrobyn get organized' campaign. Could make for good blog posts.
As always, I will leave you with a song. But today, it will be two songs ... both with the same name, both that I love, but both very, very different. I was driving home the other night and heard these songs back to back (not on the same station). Anyway, one is great to dance to and the other one is great to just listen to. Here you have "Low." One by Flo Rida and one by Cracker. Which one do you like better?
Goodness, you look just like your mum Robyn! I really enjoyed reading your blog. And yes, I know all about life happening. As to scrapping chronologically - well I do and I don't. I sometimes just scrap a photo that I like but then I file it in a folder for the album for that 6 month period (my albums usually cover 6 months). I have several folders on the go on my harddrive but only have albums printed up to September 2006 at this stage. lol So I am way behind.
