A girl's gotta have goals...

So the extra 10 pounds is gone. Now I just need to tone it all up. I've used the "but I've had 4 kids" excuse long enough. I mean, the twins are 7½ years old and there's still a little pooch on my belly. I've wanted a belly ring for a long time so here's the goal ... once I can see my abs, I can get a belly ring. Sounds like a plan to me. I've started lifting weights with Marty which is something I haven't done consistently for probably 12 years. I have also been using our elliptical machine and doing some other exercises. And I've been eating better. Hopefully in a few months, I'll look like I want to look. Here's a page I did for a scrapbook challenge a few years ago. It's all about strength so I thought it would be appropriate for today's post. (Credits and journaling here.)

I'll keep you posted on my progress. Here's some music. It's Live: I Alone. Marty and I were listening to this cassette tape (yeah ... I said cassette!!) while we were working out today (it's from Live's Throwing Copper album). This song takes me back to the mid-90's. I'm surprised the tape still plays because I listened to it so much. The video is a little weird but I love the song.

  1. Congrats on your weight loss Robyn! (though I don't think you need to loose anything!). I should wipe the dust from our indoor bike and started to do some exercise too. Not for a weight loss but because I'm totally out of shape. Love your LO!
Hope everything is going smoothly at Englands.
    Love ya my friend!!!

  2. Hi Robyn!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I appreciate it. Way to go on your weight loss, and for your determination to tone up. I know I feel so much better and 'in control' when I keep in shape.

You found the TED video interesting - have you checked out more of them? They simply ROCK - they make you think. My DH downloads them and even listens while he works out! Just thought I should tell you this.

    Take care,
    Barb (Mrs. Miles)
