Marty's out tonight so you get to listen to me ramble on and on! Not much going on. Lauren is staying at a friend's house so it was just me and the boys tonight. All they wanted to do was play video games so I hung pictures and scrapped a page. The house is looking better. Our kitchen table got delivered yesterday so now we can eat like civilized people. And we also bought some furniture for our media room. Take a look. I'm pretty excited about this. We got two rows of these black leather theater seats.
We'll be sitting in style. Now if we only had a TV! What if you had a media room and no television... It's so sad. Actually we will be buying the TV on the right as soon as we have a chance to go to the store. I think it's 56" or something crazy like that. Marty's never going to come out of that room!
In other exciting news ... I am miserable! The sunburn I got last week is starting to peel and I can't stop scratching! Last night I had to search the playroom for one of those toy back scratchers that I won last time we went to Dave & Busters.
I was supposed to take the kids to Hurricane Harbor (waterpark) today but it rained ... again! Seems like it rains every day lately! Yesterday, we even had to mow the grass in the rain! What a funny sight that must have been. We still haven't sold our old house and I went by there earlier yesterday to drop off Mackenzie at a friend's house and the yard looked terrible so we packed up the mower and just as we pulled up, it started to rain. No fun at all!
Lauren and I are getting excited about taking a trip to Cleveland to my Dad's next week. My little sister (12 years younger than me) is getting married. Pretty cool ... the wedding is on 7-7-07. Lauren is the flower girl and her dress is so pretty. What's that? You want to see a picture? Well ... since you asked, here you go. I took this when we picked up the dress a few weeks ago. She stood up in the big mirror where the girls stand who are trying on wedding dresses. Too cute! Now if we could just find her some shoes. My sister wants her to wear silver or gray shoes. Who knew it was so hard to find silver or gray shoes for a little girl. I have been everywhere but the dreaded mall. It's looking more and more like we're going to have to brave it! I haven't actually shopped at a mall in a long, looooong time! Wish me luck!
Sorry for the long-winded post about nothing. But there is nothing going on. My big excitement for the day was going to Party City and buying about $200 worth of party supplies for the gym. And, inevitably, some moron will ask, "Are you having a really BIG party?" Yeah - I'm having a birthday party with 500 guests. And we're going to have lots and lots of balloons and plates that are all different colors.
I'll try to have more to talk about next time I post. How about some music? I'm in a country mood and am currently listening to the song below. Press the play button twice. Love this song! It's Blake Shelton.
The consensus from my friends is that Lauren looks like a model. And she does!
