I've spent the last two nights at Nick and Austin's school. And let me tell you ... BIG fun both nights!! We'll go in reverse order and start with tonight. Austin's friend, Cayley, asked him to go to the 50's Sock Hop with her and he wanted me to go, too. They had fun hula hooping and jumping in the bounce houses. And Elvis even made an appearance!
Apparently I have a knack for knowing where Elvis will be. (Must be because I'm married to an Elvis guy!) Anyway, here's me in April and then tonight. Elvis seems to have gotten younger since I last saw him!
Austin had a great time! I think he may have had too much cotton candy though because he was break dancing by the end of the night!
And now on to last night. Nick is in his first year of band. He plays clarinet and we are really proud of him. He practices every day and he's getting pretty good. Last night we went to the Fall preview concert. It was neat to see how much the kids have all learned in such a short amount of time. School has only been in session for 9 weeks. Here's a picture of Nick. He's in the center with glasses.
But there was a strange phenomenon going on at the concert. Obviously, I was there to see my son play the clarinet. HOWEVER ... school chairs are funny things. They have a hole cut out in the back. And, I'm thinking I like chairs with no holes better! Because in more than one chair, we saw something like THIS ........
That's right ... there seems to be a big crack problem at Nick and Austin's school! Sorry ... Marty and my neighbor dared me to take the picture. And, it was just too funny not to share!
And on that note, I'll close this post. But we need some music first. Here's General Kane: Crack Killed Apple Jack
you are so funny! that poor woman must've had no idea, or was that a man, can't tell, lol! Yikes...rofl!
