A Busy Day & More ROOTS Layouts

It seemed like yesterday way the neverending day! I worked in the morning like I do every Saturday. But it was particularly busy because it was the first week our members could sign up for next semester AND it was picture week at the gym. My friends at Fun Family Fotos come every semester and take individual and group photos of each of the classes. And as an added bonus, they always take pictures of my children and in the Fall semester, they take our Christmas card photo. So yesterday was the day we had these photos taken of the family. I love how they turned out and our Christmas card is going to be very unique this year! I can't wait to share it with you but that will have to wait until closer to Christmas. But in the meantime, here is a layout I created with one of the pictures of Lauren. I used Michelle Coleman's Sweet Evangeline: Holiday Flair kit for everything here.
While I was at work, Marty took the boys for basketball "tryouts" at our church. They didn't actually have to try out to make the team, they were more assessing their level so all of the teams have kids with all level players. While they were there, Lauren decided that she wanted to be a cheerleader so all 4 got signed up for something. Sounds like it will be a busy basketball season for us since they will all have different practice and game times.
Let's see, I was telling you about our busy day and I haven't gotten past the morning! When I got home from work, we had lunch and then we went to the school carnival. After that, we went to look at our new house (actually, ours hasn't even broken ground yet but there is one like ours that is in the sheetrock phase and we walked through that one). Then we did a little more driving around and finally came home so Marty could watch some football and I could do some scrapping.
BellesMORE ROOTS LAYOUTS
I am so excited every time I see a new layout with my Return To My Roots kit (on sale at Scrap Artist for $2 for a limited time). My friend Helen (Belles) wins for most unique layout so far using my kit! She created this cute little ATC for the Altered/Collage Challenge that Christine and I have going on this week at Scrap Artist. The challenge is to use a cartoon character in a layout or ATC. Helen drew this turtle by hand "way back when" and for this challenge she recreated him with vectors in CorelDraw. I think he is just adorable ... and oh so groovy! And it's funny because I didn't even realize that was the tree in my kit until I was reading Helen's credits!
Below are the other ROOTS layouts I spotted in the Scrap Artist gallery yesterday. Thank you to almostmex, Fiddlette, lilaclady, macwebgrrl, mkjean and wendyzine for posting these beautiful layouts!

This is truly an inspired kit Robyn - I am so proud of you. The fact that there are so many layouts popping up w/it is a testimony to that fact that it is such a special kit.
