I know that this layout is a bit out there! But I like it! Yes ... that is me! It is more of an art-journal type page than a scrapbook page. This week in our Altered/Collage Challenge at Scrap Artist, we are using the FABULOUS artist Teesha Moore as inspiration. If you have never seen her work, you MUST check it out! Her web site is TeeshaMoore.com. Make sure you check out her art journal pages and her prints. She has a really cool blog as well. A few weeks ago, I bought the book Alphabetica: An A-Z Creativity Guide for Collage and Book Artists by Lynne Perella. It is an awesome book and a must-read! On page 73, there is a cool art journal page by Teesha and that is the inspiration for my page here.
Christine (Fiddlette) and I would love to see you at our Altered/Collage Challenge at Scrap Artist this week! We love to see new faces!!
Credits: The shape of the body and wings and the cut-out face are all Teesha-inspired. To create this, I used Michelle Coleman's Grandma's Attic kit. The arrow is in the Scrap Artist Rough and Tumble collaborative kit. I also used an overlay by Nancie Rowe-Janitz and the word 'Dance' by Hope Wallace. Everything is available in the Scrap Artist Shoppe. The only exception are the ballet legs and the arm which are by Maya at Scrapbook Graphics in her Broken Doll Parts kit. Fonts are Amadeus Regular and AL Charisma. Created in Photoshop CS2.
Oh boy I didn't know you had a blog. I had the link for your website but not this. I now have this place bookmarked as well and when I can get my blog to work properly tonight I am going to add your blog link to my list.
ReplyDeleteI have Alphabetica on my wish list at Amazon.com as well and have done for some time. I might just have to splash out and get it shortly cause I really do like the journal stuff probably more than scrapbooking even. Haven't had much time laterly to do any at all really and have not been terribly motivated either.
Nice to find your blog tho. :)
Cheers
Belles

ReplyDeleteLove this art Robyn - it rocks!
That Alphabetica book is awesome, isn't it?
